You guys did a great job of explaining how to solve a UCM problem. You laid out the steps very well, and a person who did not know any physics could basically solve a UCM problem. I though that you could have added more examples of UCM in real life though.

pretty good powerpoint. simple straight to the point. good humor to keep the reader interested. maybe a little less wordy. all in all made the expectations of the how to make a powerpoint. straight forward, not too wordy but when wordy in some areas it was required. nice job!! :)

1. This was a successful presentation because it used a lot of visuals, and not to many words that cluttered the screen

2. There was a good example of how do do UCM problems, which not all the presentations did (or didn't do as well)

3. Some parts were hard to read over the pictures, but overall it was not a big problem

4. Yes, because it kept it brief and used a good amount of visuals to explain things

1. This presintation was successful beacuse of the un-wordy-ness and the animation.
2. I liked it also for these reasons.
3. The only thing that could be improved is the pages on examples. They were bland and not very colorful so I lost what they were saying.
4. Yes. It was colorful, not wordy, and eye catching--everything that the "How to Make a PowerPoint" assignment asked for.

1. This presentation was especially successful because of the lack of MEGA slides (slides with tons of text). Keeping the slides short and to the point keeps the presentation moving. The graphics and animation (which I'm assuming was there) added to keeping the show moving at a decent pace.

2. Overall I liked the amount of graphics used to explain the text. The example was really good (another one might have been better).

3. I'm in agreement with peacelove&music. The color and pictures should have continued into the example and as I said above, an additional example would have been better.

4. Yes this presentation was in line with the "How to Make a Powerpoint" assignment. The Slides were to the point and the colors and graphics helped to emphasize or explain the slide.

very good power point not a lot of reading, entertaining and straight to the point

Definately liked this one the best. Not too many words on a page, good visuals and GREAT example question. Was right on with the other powerpoint about how to make powerpoints.

This presentation was my favorite. It had a lot of slides, and it got its point across slowly, carefully, thoroughly, and humorously- exactly the way it was advised to. I really liked the graphics and the way they worked with the pictures presented. That being said, there could have been a few more pictures. However, I still really liked it a lot- it was completely consistent with the humorous style that the example powerpoint presentation laid out for us, the graphics popped off the page, and it got its point across WITHOUT BEING WORDY! Job well done!

This presentation was definitely my favorite. I love the use of colors and pop-ups because they capture your attention. The diagrams are also very impressive.

I liked the flashyness and variety of photos in this presentation. It was successfull because of the astetics. Unfortunatly I felt it lacked enough detail in some areas. The sstyle was very much following of the how to make a powerpoint thing because it used info and photos and wasn't too wordy and was clear. Plus it got the info through well.

This presentation was successful and enjoyable because it was simple and to the point. It included good visuals and examples of which forces are the net force, and explained well and humorously the steps to solving UCM problems. This presentation was very consistant with the expectations by not being too wordy, using pictures, and pop ups to capture attention-very nice!!

I thought that this presentation was really good. The images were awesome, the information was really helpful, and the animations were really cool. The only thing I thought that could've improved the presentation was adding images to the last few slides. Other than that, I thought this presentation was excellent. It followed the "How to make a good presentation" because there wasn't too many words on each slide and it was exciting.

1. This presentation was successful because it explained the topic in a very concise and easy to read manner. It was to the point in the educational sense, but also interesting when skipping through the slides.
2. I liked the pop up diagrams and background selections. It corresponded well with the topic and they made sure to make important terms pop-out.
3. The end of the slideshow lost its pizzazz when the examples came by. Maybe because no one actually likes solving the problems…
4. It dispersed the information very well throughout the slides without cluttering the text. They made enough slides to make this work and they used diagrams that corresponded with the topic.

i felt this presentation was successful because it was very clear and easy to read, each slide was simply and got the information to you in a neat and concise manner. This is why i liked it. also i liked the picture of the small white dude with the magnifying glass.
i felt out of the 6 this was the most consistent with the how to make a powerpoint things... it was the clearest.

This presentation was successful because it was not too cluttered, and explained everything in simple, easy to understand terms- not too many long equations. I liked the pictures and the humor (we might as well be entertained while reviewing).

THe only thing that could be improved was the sample problem- while it was a good example, the really long decimals and lack of color made them less interesting.

Overall, it was a very smooth power point that was colorful and not too wordy, like the example presentation.

1. this presentation was successful because it was able to keep my attention for the entire duration of the show- the colors were bold and popped, and i really liked the narration throughout the show.

2. Hands down favorite tidbit was the addition of the doughnutting. what fun. furthermore, i really liked the simplicity of what i take to be generally hard problems- the break down seemed very easy to manage.

3. Improvements- i wouldnt have minded if your presentation was a little longer- i enjoyed watching it and the ending seemed a little abrupt. more would have been nice.

4. i think that this project very nicely followed the role model power point presentations and really stuck to the idea that only a few words on each slide make the slides more powerful.

Well done.

This presentation was sucessful to me because it was visually interesting (i.e the words popping up when the mouse was clicked, ect) and it was also not too wordy. I also liked the tidbit about glaz alot.

I am a visual person so the visuals are a very important aspect to me, because if it looks boring, i'm not going to want to continue reading the powerpoint!

The only improvements i would recomend is that this powerpoint were made little bit longer, and a pinch more detail

I think that it suites the role of model powerpoint very well because it was interesting and fun to watch, as well as informative. i didnt get bored at all while reading this powerpoint, when i did with some of the others.

I thought that this was one of the better presentations. I liked the popups, it made me pay attention and really caught my eye. I also liked that you gave examples and how to solve the problem along with a little humor to spice it up a bit. You could have gotten an easier problem however that didn't have to use so many equations.

his presentation was successful because it had just enough words to get the point across and kept intrest. Also it helped that the example problem was laid out, separated and put as simply as possible. I liked it because of how simple it made everything and it wasn't difficult to see exactly what it was saying (and that it used humor in the example, always a plus). There isn't much that i think can be improved, maybe some more graphics to go along with the wording but otherwise I can't think of much. I think it was pretty consistent with the how to make a power point presentations, broken up into multiple slides, not too wordy and interesting pictures. I think this is a powerpoint well done :)

I thought this presentation was done well, it was pretty concise and got the information across. That said I think it could have been improved with more color on some of the slides. I certainly think it followed at least some of the advice from the"How to make a powerpoint" presentations.

1. This presentation was successful because of the organized and simple formatting and the clarity and straightforwardness of the information.
2. I was most fond of the aesthetics of this power point; I enjoyed the graphics- they were thoughtful and pertinent.
3. In terms of improvements to the presentation, I would also just say that the end of the slideshow was a bit tedious and lacked the flavor of the previous slides- some pictures in this
4. This presentation definitely followed the role model power point presentations, as it was clear and concise, but at the same time sufficiently thorough and interesting.

1. This powerpoint was most sucessful because it used large images and text to keep the audience's attention.

2. I like that some of the slides added several words at a time when you knew there had to be more text. It meant that the reader could slowly take in the information, which is definitely a good thing.

3. I got confused with the section "How to Solve a UCM problem." Because it seemed like first you began by giving the steps but then all of the sudden you had an example...? Also, I feel more diagrams could have been used.

4. This power point definitely took into account the tips from "How to Make a Power Point." It used big text with not too many words on the page and bright colors in the photos and text.

I thought you guys did really well. This is a very easy powerpoint to understand and retards like me need that. My favorite part was the glaz freakout w/ the doughnuts. The only thing i think you could have done is maybe add a few momre real life examples. But it was really rather consistent with the how to make a powerpoint especially since there werent too many words and they were spaced out over a bunch of slides.

1. This presentation was successful because it kep things clean, concise, and to the point. It was also successful because you guys used humor to help us what understand what could have been made into a tedious learning experience. This kept the viewer's attention.
2. As I previously stated, I think your usage of humor was great. I am really bad at understanding complex physics thing so I like how you brought everything down into simple pieces. Also, there weren't too many words on the slide, which made th presentation easy to follow and swallow.
3. I feel like maybe you could've added more pictures/color just to keep the viewer further engaged.
4. The style of this presentation was definitely consistent with the expectations stated in the "How to Make a PowerPoint" assignment because it was clear, to the point, and there wren't too many words on each slide.

This presentation was successful because it was very well organized and because of the way it used that shape to overlay and highlight.

I liked that it was entertaining and had some nice pictures.

The last few slides were VERY plain.

I think the presentation followed the role models very well except for the last few slides. It didnt overcrowd the slides with too many words and it used that overlaying technique which was good as well as some background pictures.

1. Most of these presentations had the information, the difference that made this one successful was that it was face paced, easy to understand and fun.
2. Same as one.
3. The last few slides could have been improved by using mroe color and pictures liek the first few.
4. The style was consistent. there was not too much information on each slide, and also the slides were colorful. It helped that pictures did some of the talking and eliminated the need for verbosity.

1) this presentation was very successful, i actually read it, because it had lots of nifty pictures.
2)I liked how the creator didn't hesitate to use lots of slides, the creator showed a through understanding of both physics and power point.
3)Could have been a little longer, but i think it got the point across
4)This power point was made very well, it clearly followed the model

I think this was a great presentation on UCM, because you were able to hold my attention throughout the presentation, plus you were able to sum up UCM well. I liked the slides you chose, they really stood out, and I also liked how you didn't have too much text on the slides. I believe that the examples were probably the weakest point of this presentation but other than that it was great, and I think has so far displayed this group had the best understanding of the "how to make a powerpoint" assignment because itwas very good.

As much of a calvin and hobbes fan as I am, this one is the best.

1) This presentation was successful in that it was long enough to state it's purpose clearly with a little bit of depth to each statement. Also, Glaz spent the better part of a helping period with these guys and ignoring my cries for help with webassign; and she knows her stuff.

2) I liked the number and variety of examples they used to illustrate different types of forces that can be involved in UCM. what placed this presentation above 2, was the walkthrough problem which demonstrated the use of all of the UCM equations.

3) What they could have done that number 2 did very well would be to further simplify the information and state it more fully in a more colloquial manner.

4) This was very much consistent with the how to make a power point presentation presentation. Perhaps better in that it was far pithier. There were plenty of visuals to balance out wordiness, and each slide was clearly topically organized. kudos.

lespaul07 said...

1. This presentation was successful because it made a good outline of what UCM is, how one would find the properties involved in UCM, as well as good examples to help further understand UCM.

2. I liked the humor involved in the real life example of glaz doing doughnuts in her sweet Audi TT. I liked how examples were introduced, and how there were only small bits of information put into the slides.

3. I thought this powerpoint had too many colors, different backrounds and special effects that made me click just to read every other word.

4. I think this power point was consistent with the rules required to make the powerpoint, unlike how my powerpoint was. It explained UCM well, and used good real life examples, either presented through words or presented through pictures.
