Moon Landing Hoax

For the budding skeptics out there, here is a great site where you will find answers to one of life’s burning questions: Did we really land on the Moon?

For all of you Sci-Fi fans out there: why is the site called “Clavius Moon Base”?

I'm not sure about the Sci-Fi meaning of it, but I think that Christopher Clavius had something do to with a lunar calendar.

Written on the very front of the page:

" This site is named after the Clavius Moon Base in Arthur C. Clarke's novel 2001: A Space Odyssey, and visualized by Stanley Kubrick in the film of the same name."

That was a challange.

it wasn't the lunar calender, Christopher Clavis invented the gregorian calender, which is the most widely used calender today. you know that thing that you write down dates on in your kitchen with each box for a day, yea he invented that

i think that its not a hoax but some think it is
i think we should not have landed on the moon because if you think about it the atmosphere is pretty hot and burns a lot of things up especially meteors maybe its a message that we shouldn't leave earth.

I think it could have easily been staged.

However, I don't see why we would stage the landings. With the technology we had then, it wasn't out of the question to do so. The astronauts would also have to have no shame on the matter, knowing that they just pranked America and haveing to keep it a secret until they died. Personally I couldn't live with the guilt of doing so.

i agree with kingsley. They wouldn't really have a reason to fake the whole thing. The technology that they had should have been good enough that it wasn't needed to be faked.

Yeah i agree with kingsley and the number guy. Though the video is slightly convincing, i still think we have definately got the technology to get to the moon. And as stated in an earlier comment, its called the "Clavius Moon Base" because of Arthur C. Clarke's book 2001: A Space Odyssey.

If indeed the United States government did fake the moon landing then that is the biggest hoax in world history I believe. Becasue at the time, the United states was in a big dispute with the USSR, and it appeared that both sides were evenly matched, but when the US "landed" on the moon we finally got the step up, and that showed that we were stronger. So if the Government did fake it, that not only doupt the USSR into believing the US was stronger, but it also could have spared the world from a full nuclear war, beacuase tensions were that high at that time between the US and USSR, and once they saw we were on the moon, they wanted no part of us.

Kingley is correct. It could have easily been staged but i done think that it was. Why would our country spend so many billions of dollars on nasa if we were not able to land on the moon and why would they keep sending rockets up into outerspace.

Im not sure how relevant the name is or if it is just a name that the sci-fi nerds you created the site thought would be cool.

I think that people who are conspiracy theorist are unsuccessful people who have too much time on there hands (Unemployed) are jealous of other peoples successes so they try to discredit them by seeking out flaw in the reccorded history of the events. In other word they a pathetic.
